What happens if I use a replicator from a different brand than BRUNO MEZA while using the Emotional Manager for NinjaTrader 8?

If you decide to use a replicator from another brand along with the Emotional Manager for NinjaTrader 8, it’s important to know that there will be no direct communication between the third-party replicator and the Emotional Manager, which may lead to some undesired scenarios.

With OUR NinjaTrader 8 to NinjaTrader 8 replicator:

If a slave account is blocked and the master account places a trade, the trade is not replicated to the slave account. This is thanks to the efficient communication between the Emotional Manager and our replicator, which prevents trades from being executed in blocked accounts, respecting the block and protecting your accounts.

With replicators from OTHER brands:

In this case, if the slave account is blocked and the master account places a trade, the trade will still be replicated to the slave account even though it is blocked. This happens because there is no communication between the Emotional Manager and third-party replicators. However, since the account is indeed blocked, the Emotional Manager will immediately close the trade upon detection. This open-close process can result in a small unwanted loss.

🔄 What you might be thinking: “If I apply the Emotional Manager to all my accounts, then the master account would be blocked at the same time as the slave accounts, and this issue wouldn’t affect me.”

It’s natural to think that, by applying the Emotional Manager for NinjaTrader 8 to all accounts—both master and slaves—they would all be blocked simultaneously. However, in practice this doesn’t always happen.

For example, when placing a trade, there may be slight differences in entry points between accounts. This means that the PnL (profits or losses) will differ slightly between accounts as the trade progresses. As a result, even under the same plan, one account may reach its daily loss limit before the others. If a slave account is blocked first and the master account exits the trade upon hitting the same loss limit, that exit will be replicated to the already-blocked slave. The Emotional Manager will automatically close that trade on the slave account, resulting in an unnecessary additional trade.

This is just one example, but similar situations can arise with other parameters as well.

What happens if you still decide to use another replicator?

If, after understanding these scenarios, you decide that you’re willing to accept these possible differences, you can continue using other replicators with the Emotional Manager for NinjaTrader 8 without issues.

However, if you prefer to avoid these scenarios and enjoy full, seamless integration between the Emotional Manager and the replicator, we recommend our NinjaTrader 8 to NinjaTrader 8 replicator. This replicator not only avoids these issues, but also offers exclusive features such as replication between different prop firms, no monthly fees, no need for VPS servers, and all with a very affordable one-time cost.
